I personally have found v9 to be quite easy to change to, though I have found the problems mentioned. I actually like to use pattern clips over blocks, but don't lynch me yet, please!

Mm, yeah, but you were used to using a track-based system all along, whereas I began creating music simply with the blocks. I'm just annoyed that the one version I like to use has this major fault.

Sounds to me like they've gone backwards. Honestly I could cope without pattern blocks, but that randomized phaser shit means I'll probably be sticking to version 8.

No, it's version 8 that does that. Version 9 is fine, apart from the different stretching methods.
